Rumors circulating in media suggest that Liverpool are close to signing their 2nd player this January in the name of Philippe Coutinho. It is believed that the initial offer of around 7 Million Euros from Reds was rejected by Inter Milan. However, that has not stopped manager Brendan Rodgers to put a halt on his plans to sign the young Brazilian International who has already played for the senior side.
Coutinho who joined Inter Milan from Vasco Da Gama in 2010 displayed flashes of his extreme talent during his loan spell at Spanish side Espanyol last season before making a return to the Italian outfit Milan this season. However, with Inter short on cash, it is understood that the deal will go through and the player himself has admitted his liking for Liverpool and is keen for a transfer to be completed soon.
The 20 year old diminutive midfielder was also linked with a January transfer move to Aston Villa but it seems that the lure of playing for Liverpool has proved to be too good for him to turn down and now it is believed that both Reds and Milan are holding further negotiation talks to complete the deal as soon as possible.
