Cristiano Ronaldo has confirmed that he will see out his contract at Real Madrid that ends in 2015. There were widespread rumors about Ronaldo exiting as early as next season when he voiced being unhappy at the club for professional reason. Manchester United were touted as early favorites to resign their former player for 60 Million Euros. Ronaldo was speaking to a local Radio at award ceremony of Ballon D’Or where Lionel Messi came out to be the winner. He told the reporters that seeing out the current deal is his main preference.
The unsettled Ronaldo was a big problem for Real Madrid squad who is now 18 points drift at top of the table with Barcelona opening up a mammoth lead. However, with league title already gone out of sight, the focus of Mourinho’s side is totally fixed upon securing 10th European Cup this term. The Galacticos have already won record 9 titles but their last success came way back in 2002 followed by 6 consecutive exits at round of 16 stage and reaching last 4 in their previous 2 attempts.
Ronaldo hinted that all his efforts would be focused on securing the record 10th European Cup for Madrid and Mourinho himself would very much want to become the first manager in history of the competition to win the trophy with three different clubs.
