With January transfer window fast approaching, two players that are most likely to make their moves are Blackpool’s Tom Ince and Demba Ba from Newcastle. Both have been scoring for fun this season. Ba is currently placed third in the list of top goal scorers with 11 goals, trailing Robin Van Persie and Michu who have scored 12 each.
Tom Ince who left Liverpool for Blackpool has also scored 13 goals in the English League Championship. With Liverpool needing to add firepower in the final third, Ince could well be headed back to Anfield with a report £ 6 Million transfer after leaving the club a year ago. However, Blackpool boss Michael Appleton has urged the Anfield Club to raise their offer if they want to resign their player as Ince has been an integral part of the new look Blackpool setup.
Ba leaving Newcastle in upcoming transfer window would come as a no surprise after expressing his wish to join Arsenal in an interview with a local African Radio Canal +. The Senegalese forward has a release clause of £ 7 Million in his contract which makes it easy for top clubs to join the race for his signature.
However, according to reports, Daniel Sturridge’s transfer to Liverpool has stalled with both parties having reservations over the fees paid to agents. This looks sensible as Reds were one of the clubs who paid the most to player’s agents and their management team would be looking to get the figures down.
