Today is the  age of science and technology. In this age man has made such tall buildings which are touching the sky. Man has made many mega structures such as towers, grand hotels and plazas. Here i am sharing top 5 tallest buildings of the world.

1) Burj  Khalifa 

Burj Khalifa is the tallest building of the world which the man had ever made. The height of  Burj Khalifa  is about 828m. Burj Khalifa  is present  in Dubai ,city of UAE.The construction of this huge building was started in 2004 and it took six years to complete this project.  The opening ceremony was held at january, 2010. Tons of steel was used in construction of Burj Khalifa  to strengthen it and to face high pressure of air. Burj Khalifa has about 160 floors including its basement floors used as parking of vehicles. The total cost for this project is about 1.5 billion dollars. It is also known as burj Dubai.

 

 

 

2) Tokyo Skytree 

Tokyo Skytree is the second largest building of the world.Its height is about 634m. This is located in Tokyo the capital city of Japan. The construction of this tower was started in  2008 and it was completed after four years in February 2012. After three months the tower was opened for public on 22 May 2012. This tower is mainly uses as TV broad casting and as a grand hotel. There are 13 elevators used in this tower. The cost of this project is about 806 million dollars.

 

3) KVLY-TV TOWER

KVLY-TV tower is the third largest human made structure. The height of KVLY-TV tower is about 628m. It is present in  Blanchard, Traill country, North Dakota UNITED STATES. It is a type of TV transmission tower. The total weight of the tower is about 8635000 pounds.The building of this tower is spread over about 160 acres of land. The construction of tower was completed in 1963.

 

4) Abraj Al-Bait Tower

Abraj Al-Bait Tower is the world fourth tallest building.The height of this building is about 601m. This tower is present in holy  city of muslims named Mecca. The construction of this tower is started in 2004 and completed in 2012. The tower has 120 floors. The cost of this project is about 2 billion dollars. This tower is only few meter away   from the world’s largest  masjid  Masjid-al-Haram. The floor area of tower is about  310,638 m2. This tower can easily accommodate 65000 people. 

 

5) VLF transmitter Lualualei Tower

VLF transmitter Lualualei is the fifth tallest building of the world. the height of VLF transmitter Lualualei  is about 458m. It was completed in 1972. It is present in United States and used to give orders to submarines in very low-frequency.
