According to widespread rumors, it is understood that Chelsea have finally agreed the transfer fee for Brazilian midfielder Taison but it is also believed that the Blues are facing stiff competition from another unnamed premier league club. The player himself admitted to have held talks with the West London Club last month about securing a permanent transfer to England’s top division.
The midfielder joined his current club Metalist on a three year deal from his native club International where he partnered Oscar who is already in the Chelsea squad. However, Metalist were initially reluctant to lose their main attacking threat against opposition teams but Chelsea tested their resolve with a firm offer and suitable personal terms for the player to agree the deal.
Though, all looks set to be done but there is still some drama left in the deal with an unnamed premier league club joining the race to outplace the current Chelsea bid. However, Taison himself favors a switch to Stamford Bridge due to which it seems difficult for any other club to persuade him against joining the current European Champions. This will be Chelsea’s second January signing for Rafa Bentiz who already signed Demba Ba from Newcastle United.
