Cole Set To Grab 100th Cap For England

Ashely Cole is set to become latest England player to reach the century of appearances for National Team if he is selected for the three lions to face Brazil on Wednesday Night. The 32 year old who plays his trade at Chelsea made his debut 12 years ago in 2001 under Sven Goran Eriksson.
Captain, Steven Gerrard who himself reached the milestone of 100 appearances for England in November 2012 against Sweden has called the English supporters to show tremendous backing to Cole who has been carrying out impressive performances for England for over a decade.
There have been times when Cole and his team mates have heavily faced criticism due to poor showings in the big competitions like World Cup and European cups. The lowest point in the left back’s England career was when he softly missed the penalty against Italy in the Quarter Finals of Euro 2012 but even that has not stopped the diminutive wing back to continue his career in the white shirt.
Injury list has mounted up for manager, Roy Hodgson with Daniel Sturridge, Jermain Defoe and Michael Carrick all withdrawing from the squad to face Brazil at Wembley. Captain, Gerrard is already looking to the match but hinted that their eyes are already fixed on the crucial world cup qualifier against Montenegro next month.
