We hear it very often now a days in Media which is also very much true that Pakistan Cricket has got many good fast bowlers while India has got very good Batsmen. on other hand Batting of Pakistan and bowling of India is not that much strong.
For example lets see last 12 years from 2000 to 2012. Pakistan has produced many great and quick fast bowlers during these 12 years like Shoaib Akhtar, Umar Gul, Mohammad Aamir, Mohammad Asif, Sohail Tanvir and most recently Junaid Khan and Mohammad Irfan. but in these 12 years India produced only few quality fast bowlers like Zaheer Khan and Irfan Pathan.
On other hand India has produced many great Batsmen during this time like Virender Sehwag, Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, M.S Dhoni. Pakistan also produced some good Batsmen but not as good as Indian Batsmen in these 12 years like Nasir Jamshed, Younis Khan, Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Yousaf.
So what is the secret behind Pakistan producing good fast bowlers and India producing good Batsmen consecutively in last few years?
Actually when a boy grows up playing cricket or any other sport he idealizes great and famous players of his nation. In India most of youngsters idealizes Sachin Tendulkar that is why India is producing more quality Batsmen and not the bowlers. on other hand in Pakistan fast bowlers like Wasim Akram, Imran Khan are inspirations for the youngsters that is why Pakistan produces more quality fast bowlers than Batsmen. Shoaib Akhtar world’s fastest bowler ever himself says that i was inspired to bowl quick after watching Imran Khan during my childhood.
